Mediation
As mediators, we seek to empower the disputants to creatively find their own solutions to their conflict. To this end, we facilitate the process by assuming the role of a neutral third party. As such, we do not determine the outcome or have a stake in it, we instead guide the process. Mediation gives parties an opportunity to be heard in a safe environment and to understand better their own point of view as well as that of the other party. Often, new creative ways of understanding the situation surface and a resolution is possible—one that is collaboratively created by the parties and is therefore more likely to be sustainable than imposed resolutions.
